When listening to locals’ experiences on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), we found that almost all riders didn’t feel safe due to its high crime rate. This independent project explored the concept of “safety in numbers” and to ultimately give riders peace of mind back.

I like to think that my last name being a typeface was always a reminder for me to pursue design. Because before my design career, I was a biochemist! One of my side projects was to design UI for the lab's internal tools, and it was only then that I realized that there was an entire discipline behind UX / UI Design. I loved the creative challenge empowered by research, and persistent empathy for others — and I haven’t looked back since!
